Transition to TFI 3.0

Transition to the Tiered Fidelity Inventory (TFI) 3.0
The Tiered Fidelity Inventory (TFI) provides a valid, reliable and efficient way to measure the extent to which schools are implementing the core features of PBIS. Building on previous versions, the TFI 3.0 integrates key updates that reflect today’s priorities — strengthening connections between PBIS and mental health supports, advancing equity and enhancing classroom implementation.
California PBIS remains committed to helping schools build inclusive, data-driven systems that support the well-being of every student. As we transition to TFI 3.0, California PBIS Technical Assistance Centers will guide site and district teams, ensuring a gradual and supported shift by the 2026–2027 school year.
